Phoenix Population Grows at Slowest Pace of the Decade
Big cities in once-hot housing markets, such as Phoenix and Las Vegas, have seen population growth slow. Phoenix grew 1.5% from July 2008 to July 2009, the slowest pace of the decade. The city gained 24,000 people between 2008 and 2009 compared to a gain of nearly 41,000 between 2005 and 2006.
