Getting stationed at Luke A.F.B. Need Apartment??

So I am moving to Arizona in April What are some good neighborhoods in the West Valley that aren't to far of a commute to Luke A.F.B. Ive been browsiing at Avondale, Peoria, And Glendale. Just want to stay away from Crime and Ghetto places!!!

Best Place would be Peoria area. There are pockets of crime areas in Glendale and Avondale. I would choose Peoria.

There are good and bad parts of any city. I think that Avondale is a great city that is close to where you need to be.

I live like 3 miles from Luke AFB – here's my two cents:
Avondale or Good year are good but do not rent a place south of Interstate-10. It gets a little more suspect south of there.
West Glendale is good (near the Cardinals stadium at Glendale Ave and 95th Ave). I live near there and can vouh for that area. I don't know donwtown Glendale (55th Ave and Glendale Ave area) as well.
Peoria is good up in the "Arrowhead" area – Bell Road and north of Bell Road in the 83rd Ave to 59th Ave area. It can get a little pricier there though.
I'd probably say either Goodyear or West Glendale. Good year is a little nicer right now I'd say though it is further away
than West Glendale and may cost more. West Glendale has a ton of new things to do (shopping, restaurants, etc. opening every month.

Have a sister in law who lives in the Wigwam resort area in Litchfield Park…her husband was at Lukes….his plane went down last yr in Bagdad, and well, he's no longer with us. They have condos and townhomes inthe area(Wigwam)…it is nice, residential and has a golf course. My very best to you.
